We all should be sick and tired of politicians heading sports organizations. If a team wins the Malaysia Cup, the Menteri Besar merangkap president of the state FA is the one who would be carried
on the players shoulder. One of the reasons why Malaysian football will have trouble uplifting its standard to real professional level is due to these meddlesome politicians who come and go with their political fortunes. An amatuerishly governed FA will always
set sorry examples for amatuerishly behaved professional footballers and the most damning evidence of this is when politicians/sports head start threatening to quit their positions annually (sometimes a couple of times a year). Remember when the Selangor FA threaten to quit Malaysian soccer all together if FAM actually would punish the guilty Disco 6?
